Atlas drivers can enjoy an auto-dimming driver's-side mirror and a revised 12-way ergonomic seat with enhanced four-way lumbar support. Want a massage while you travel? Just choose an upper Atlas variant! Sadly, the 2027 Ascent does not offer front-seat massage, and lumbar adjustment is only found in its third trim and higher.
Both SUVs' cabins can be wrapped in leatherette or leather upholstery, but in contrast to this high-end Volkswagen aesthetic, the Subaru Ascent is more utilitarian and practical. Its front row is heated but not ventilated, and there's no system like VW Atmospheres to personalize your interior. We do acknowledge, however, that the VW SUV can only carry seven passengers, so if you need the most seating possible, an Ascent might be your first choice.
